DV Awareness Month

Since 1981, October has been Domestic Violence Awareness Month, which is dedicated to breaking the silence surrounding domestic violence and bringing advocates together from across the nation. This month, we strive to raise awareness, support survivors, and share resources designed to help individuals who may need them.

The Importance of Awareness

Educating and spreading awareness are key parts of sparking important conversations about domestic violence and creating lasting change within the political landscape. Not only do we hope to remind victim-survivors they are not alone, but we also hope to empower individuals to recognize the signs of domestic violence and reach out for help.
